Week #27 – Mountain Road

The tall trees on Mountain Road in Bornholm collect the afternoon light in an amazing way.  Warm afternoon light from a low sun penetrates under the trees canopy, lighting up their trunks and contrasting against the shadows.  Twisting roads combine with picturesque views out to the Stirling Ranges. The setting can be somewhat surreal and magical.  Mountain Road is about 30 km from Albany and runs between Lower Denmark Rd and the South Coast Highway.  Next time you’re heading back from Denmark, take a short detour.
