Week #44 – Bluff Knoll Walk – Stirling Range

I love the Bluff Knoll Walk in the Stirling Range National Park.  It can be a little challenging, but it is certainly rewarding.  This was the fourth time I have walked the 6 kilometre round trip – this time with my mate, Tom.  We started late in the day with the intent of seeing the sun set from on top of the Bluff.  What we witnessed was one of the most amazing sunsets this year.  It was stunning.  Of course, this meant a dark, and torchlit walk back to the base.  I can’t recommend this to everyone, as the rocks and step downs can be treacherous, but it was a great experience.  While Bluff Knoll is perhaps the most well known of the walks, several others exist.  Th next walk I would like to do is Toolbrunup Peak.  The Bluff however is the tallest peak at almost 1100metres above sea level and the views of the surrounding countryside are spectacular.
