I’ve been meaning to post these images for sometime. Other images have had a habit of getting in the way and the still waters of the harbour recently reminded me that these were waiting. Searching for crabs in the still waters of Princess Royal Harbour is a favourite summertime activity for some. When the winds drop and the surface of the water becomes still, you can often see people wading about in the harbour, waist deep in water. Armed with torches, steel nets and often an old body board to float their buckets, they search for the reflective eyes that might signal a dinner of crab. I’m told the crabs will be coming in within the next few weeks. So dust off your waders and get out there!
