Week #38 – Albany Memorial Park Cemetery

The Albany Memorial Park Cemetery is split in two by Middleton Road.  It’s hard to miss, and most people coming to town will see it.  Old, and overgrown in parts, it was closed in 1959 but has recognised cultural heritage significance to the state of W.A.  The cemetery is bordered by light industrial buildings, large granite boulders and residential homes.  A sure sign of progress since it was opened in 1840.   I have driven past this landmark many times and have often thought of taking some interesting pictures of this place, which, under the right light, is full of detail, texture and mood.  After all, beautiful images are just light and composition.  All of these pictures were taken at night.
