Albany Wedding Photography – It must have rained at 70% of my weddings this season. Albany’s weather can be somewhat fickle. In fact, I find Albany weather very much like Melbourne’s in many ways – four seasons in one day. Tracey and Ashton’s wedding was no exception.
Tracey and Ashton gathered with friends and family on a lovely private property in Lower King. Local celebrant, Sarah Thompson performed the ceremony under the tall gum trees. Although cool, the weather held as Tracey and Ashton shared their vows. It never ceases to amaze me, but the ceremony is often over in a flash! 25-30 minutes of vows and readings can fly by – blink and you can miss it! It must especially feel that way for the bride and groom, when over the last 6 months or more there has been so much to organise.
Tracey and Ashton walked back down the aisle under a shower of flower petals to a warm welcome from their families. With congratulations over, it was time for a short trip to a local farm for some photos.
The wet weather slowly gathered during their photo session, and at one point, I think we all sought refuge under a lovely old mulberry tree! During the breaks in the rain, King River provided a superb backdrop and a great opportunity for some portraits incorporating the landscape.
Thanks again Ashton and Tracey for letting me capture your wedding – I hope to catch up with you guys again soon.
Lee.
