Laura + Jakub – Perth

This post of Laura and Jakub’s wedding has been a long time coming and it’s a wedding that I’m really excited to share.  They were married in the Linton and Kay Gallery in the Perth CBD, which in itself was pretty cool and definitely different.  But it was the absolute attention to detail from Laura and Jakub that helped make this wedding fantastic.

This is a little of what Laura had to say:  “The most important thing for us on our wedding day was making sure it reflected our personalities and choices.  While we were respectful of our families wishes, we were true to ourselves through all the decisions we made, and didn’t necessarily stick with tradition if we felt it was a compromise to our own beliefs. For example, having the ceremony in an art gallery (instead of a religious based ceremony), having the kombi van, personalised music selections, a rustic chocolate covered cake (no white fondant covered fruit cake!!), joining in the pre-dinner drinks with our guests etc. Some of these things may seem small and insignificant, but it was noticed and appreciated by our family and friends, making all the effort spent in preparing all the details worthwhile.”

Laura is an Architect and Jakub a Draftsperson so having the pictures in the Perth CBD really appealed to them and from a photographic perspective, I think it looks fantastic.
